For anyone interested in Wyatt Earp, I came across this article from the Tucson Weekly on the Tombstone History Discussion Forum: http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Currents/Content?oid=oid:55879

I agree with one of the posters on that board, Wyatt is still getting bad press even 150 years after his death.

I was wondering does anyone have any information on the killing of Curly Bill by Wyatt Earp because there has been talk that he didn,t kill him.

Well, I'm no expert on Wyatt Earp because I already have my hands full with Billy the Kid and all his controversies, but from what I know after the shooting the surviving gang members took the body of Curly Bill and buried it and then denied his death so Wyatt couldn’t collect a $1,000 reward and lay claim to killing one of the toughest outlaws in Arizona. One of the outlaws did confess that Wyatt had killed Curly Bill. Just like with all the other celebrity-type outlaws that were too tough to die, folks came up with “Curly Bill Sightings,” but none could be confirmed.

I can't believe the guy is still being bad-mouthed 150 some odd years later. If someone killed my brother they better WATCH OUT!

I feel sorry for him. Back then you had to do, what you had to do. It was a tough life then.
