Just for fun, try renting the movie "Tom Horn" starring the great Steve McQueen. I am currently reading a book called "Tom Horn Blood on the Moon - A Dark History of the Murderous Cattle Detective" by Chip Carlson ( 2001 ) which covers his early life up to his death by hanging for the murder of fourteen year old Willie Nickell. He was most likely innocent of that murder and the reasons why he confessed and why he basically allowed himself to be convicted are good fodder for discussion. Tom Horn was also instrumental in the capture of Geronimo while serving of Chief of Scouts for the Army. When you've had the chance to learn more of this unique individual, lets talk more !!!!!

It seems that Tom Horn was pretty much "ambushed" himself. He got to good at his job and the cattle barons had him eliminated. That's my opinion at least.
