I watched the Wild West Tech last night, and it was pretty amusing and informative...it was basically about prostitutes and brothels in the old west. I'll leave it at that, I'm sure kids may be reading this

They did mention Billy the Kid, and how he came into play in this episode is when he was at the Hog Ranch in Arizona...not really a hog ranch but a brothel...anyway, what they said was that he hung around while the men went inside, and he would steal thier saddles...many of them got fed up with having thier saddles stolen, so they would tie a thin rope to the saddle, and go inside and have fun, figuring that if the saddle is stolen, they would feel the tug at the rope and they would catch the thief. The way Billy outsmarted them there is that he would tie that rope to a tree very carefully and take thier saddles anyway

They did mention that there was a rumor that Billy was a woman, or at least a transvestite, dressed as a woman to have relations with men. I think this rumor was probably started when he was a younger kid, when he and his friends used to go galavanting around town dressed like women just for kicks. (Keep in mind he was a little kid back then, and he thought it was halarious! ) I never thought he was gay or a transvestite because of it though!
