Hey Marcelle I was wondering if you have any information of the following: Did The Kid smoke? (wheather it was regularly, or occasionaly, wheather it was cigars/cigarettes or even chewing tobaco) If so you know any brands, or how often he did this? Did the Kid ever play a sport? Up to this point I haven't heard anything about Billy the Kid and Natives? Is there anything out there. Did he have any encounters, I don't know to much about when the Treaty's and Reservations came into effect in New Mexico? But is there any history between Billy and Natives, I once heard he had a few Nat...

With all this talk on the board about another Billy the Kid movie, I don't know if its realistic at this time, as I see it, both Young Guns are still pretty known and popular, and for that another Billy the Kid movie at this time may take away from the new movie if they ever make one soon. As for when they do dec...

I saw a web site the other day that mentioned something about a Michael McCarty that died in the military in 1863 in Indiana and it suggested that this may possibly have been Billy's real father. The birthdate of Billy has long been a matter of great interest and debate. One clue that might bring us closer to his actual birthdate can be found in the 26 July 1881 edition of the Fort Wayne Daily Gazette (Indiana). It is claimed in this newspaper account that Billy was 20 years and 10 months ol...

When Billy the Kid’s mother, Catherine Antrim, died in 1874 her obituary had stated her age as 45 at the time of death, which means she was born around 1829. This then means Catherine was about 14 years her last husband’s senior and she was in her early 30s when her sons were born. Both the ab...
