I don't think there was actually asound track to the first one. The music was done by Anthony Marinelli and Brian Banks.
Jon Bon Jovi did the soundtrack to Young Guns II. Even though the movie itself is very inaccurate, I thought that the main song "Blaze of Glory" really personifies Billy well.
Every time I hear "Blaze of Glory", I start to think of the Kid. I became interested in the Kid after watching Young Guns in the 80's, but it wasn't until the last few years that I found out that most of the movie is fact based. That sparked my interest and led me to begin researching the Kid. I am glad I did. I have found out so much about him, and I have collected pictures of Billy, purpoted pictures, pictures of his guns. I even have a picture of the gun that he used to kill Bob Ollinger. The legend of the Kid is almost an obsession!
jon bon jovi's blaze of glory cd is very good indeed, reallygood songs with lyrics 'bout billy.i like especially santa fe, my favourite, here a piece of the lyrics:
once i was promised absolution, there's only one solutionfor my sins.you gotto face your ghosts and know with no illusions, that only one of you is going home again.
and i blame this world for making a good man evil it's this world that can drive a good man mad.and it's this world that turns a killer into a hero.well i blame this world for making a good man bad.
mr. bon jovi really tried to look into billy's brains.
i recently heard blaze of glory and i have to say it is great. The guitar is also amazing (just learnt it and its quite hard). I can also see that bon jovi has obviously looked into billy the kid and captured the william h bonney side of him rather than the kid, if that makes any sense?
